Yesterday two people arrived at my door, asking for an old roommate of mine.
I told him that person was no longer here. The man was smiling and very
warm, and VERY interested in 'we talking'.
He slipped a little piece of paper through the door, and I read, 'Jehovah's
Witnesses".
Since last year I attended a conference with X-JW's, and since this guy DID
have the young girl there..no doubt training her, I decided to spend a bit
of time with them, through my screen door.
I mentioned "No thank you, I just escaped out of a Cult--Scientology---, a
few years ago, after being in 30 years".
He tried to explain how JW's are not a cult. Uh..oh...wrong avenue!
I told him about these X-JW's I'd met and how one of their top "Elders"
spoke of how the men abuse young ladies, and that right now there are 6,000
women who have been abused, and 1,000 of them are doing a class action suit
against the JW's.
He told me HE was "an Elder" and that just got me going farther, as when I
heard in detail what these Elders did, it grossed me out. I asked him,
"Ok...if you're an Elder, are you aware that men sexually abuse young woman
(Under 13) and then IF she talks, here is 'the handle": Two Elders (One who
did the sexual abuse and a buddy) go in alone with the young girl.
She has to then describe in detail what happened. Then these two decide if
it was actually "sexual abuse", or not. ((How gross is that?)) I told them

Quickly he wanted me to shut up, obviously. He told me, same as Scientology,
"We don't need to read that". I pointed out, same as I would to any
Scientologist, "It's just words. If it isn't true...why is it you CANNOT
read it? Why?"
I told him I wasn't really speaking to him, but to the young girl: that she
should study up, and read both sides, at the least. She began to shake her
head.
He grabbed her arm and began to rush her down my front stairs. I said as
they left, "Why is he trying to cut off your free speech?" Why does he only
want you to hear certain things?
Think about that, please".
They rushed off. I'm not sure if what I did was good or not, but it was from
my heart, and I was sick of these turkeys doing just what Scientology does:
They'll spend all day with you, if you'll buy or listen to their views.
However, if you want to bring up ANYTHING remotely factual and
controversial, they HAVE to go.
Cults are cults.....one in the same. I thought of the Scientologists
refusing to even speak with me.
How utterly sad. And they call that religion?
