We've had a debate over on OC about this, and it's been quite interesting, so I thought I'd mention it here. If there are any X-Scientologists here, or lurkers: you might enjoy this the most.

My friend, who has been out of Scientology for years, and I were talking the other day. We were both talking of how one sees things, and then just goes on.

I said, "Yes...it's like you just "flip it". Once I said that, we both went "Yes! That's it!"

It goes like this:

You see a form of what you think is 'The Scio/Truman Show" that doesn't work.

You flip it, and go on. (Literally like a switch, you see it, hear it, experience it, and flip it OFF).

You see another form of what you consider, "Out tech" (or the many forms of what you consider abuse, wrong, not right) and you flip it, and move on.

Each time you "Flip it" ...you literally hear something, or see something, and before you can really think about it, you flip it.

Boom! Gone. You might even have to go look things up, but once you find the "truth that explains it"...you can then fully flip it, once more.

Exp: For Yaude....when he heard my state of Clear was invalidated on OT 7...he had to go read it, and see it. But once he had, you could see, he could 'flip it' as far as me leaving. That explained it to him, I'd had 'out tech' ..and that was why, period, end of story.

As we each mentioned we knew people "In" Who still are "Flipping it".

Finally, for everyone I know who is out, you've flipped it, and flipped it, and flipped it.

One day something happens.

You either hear one thing, or read one thing, or one thing happens...and it just won't flip.

At that instant you begin to actually think for yourself, for real.

Once you begin to think, vs. flip it, the house of cards rapidly comes down. It's only as strong as they (C of S) can keep people flippin' it, vs honestly looking, reading, thinking.

Which is why I suggest to people to ask Scios questions whenever you can. Ask them about the basics of Scientology, as those are violated daily, and they're not top secret. They can keep flipping it, but one day it just won't flip...and that's the beginning of a new life for all.

To those critics here reading this, I might offer this suggestion: Ask Scientologists one question at a time. Let them think about it, talk about it, hear what they have to say. It is in looking that the process begins to melt. It's hard to flip it, once you actually, honestly LOOK.

My best :)
